Children are our future; they are the leaders of tomorrow. Equipping children with skills and knowledge is the key to making a society prosperous. The people who empower children are the real heroes of a nation. Isabelle Delali Pennaneach, founder of KLOTO KIDS, is one of these heroes. She is on a mission to help and equip children to end the poverty mindset. She is determined to empower children as well as women of all ages.
Isabelle is a highly educated woman. “I am a registered social worker in London, England. I completed my primary school and part of my secondary school in Togo, Lome (West Africa), where I was born. I completed my A-Level qualification and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work here at London South Bank University. I’m currently training to become a Certified Coach with the view of inspiring, empowering, and impacting the lives of women and my generation. I’ve equally enrolled myself at the University of Anglia Ruskin (Cambridge) to complete my Practice Education and Supervision in Social Work in order to mentor and supervise Newly Qualified Social Workers. I got married in February 1999. I am a mother of three lovely children and a wife,” she said.
Isabelle’s life story is highly inspiring. Young women need female role models to inspire success. Due to her outstanding achievements, Isabelle has become a great role model for young women around the world.
“When I came to London, I could not speak a word of English. I was 17 years old, and the languages I could speak fluently were French and Mina (one of the dialects spoken in Togo). I attended night school and babysat for families, and in no time, I could speak the English language. I was always so determined to further my education, and that’s exactly what I did. I have done various jobs, including supermarket checkout and legal secretary, and I’m proud I can type up to 60 words per minute. I’ve worked as an employment tribunal clerk and hospital clinic coordinator. In 2005, I landed a job (as a team coordinator) in one of the local governments in London, and that is where I discovered my passion for social work. I pursued it fervently, and eventually, in 2011, I qualified and registered as a social work practitioner. It was one of the proudest moments in my life. Working as a community social worker, I carry over 30 cases, which I manage well in spite of the complexity and the challenges the work entails. I promote my clients’ independence and well-being. My work is underpinned by the Care Act 2014, which makes clear that local authorities must provide or arrange services that help prevent people from developing needs for care. I therefore assess clients’ needs and implement a support package that encourages wellbeing. I know now that I thrive in a client-focused environment; guiding clients to identify their desired outcomes, helping them to achieve them, and assisting them whenever possible to get unstuck and move forward is something I am passionate about and have been doing since qualifying. My ultimate aim is to make a positive difference in people’s lives,” Isabelle said.
Isabelle’s professional accomplishments are highly inspiring. She is determined to empower children and women through Kloto Kids, her nonprofit organization.
“Kloto Kids is a nonprofit organization based in London, United Kingdom. It is used solely for charitable purposes. Kloto Kids’ mission is to help and equip children to end the poverty mindset; to encourage children not to sit on their dreams, ideas, and potentials but to create and know they can reach high; to address education, nutrition, health, and training; and to inspire children and young people to dream for themselves and not be afraid but rather dream big. The birth of my charity, Kloto Kids, was triggered in me in December 2019 when my family and I spent a couple of weeks reconnecting with my father when he visited his children (my half-siblings) in Belgium. That was the first time I spent time with my father, and it was also the first time my children and my husband met him face to face. Those ten days provoked an array of feelings and emotions in me and brought back the sadness of growing up without a father. I kept thinking, “This must change in our society.” What can I personally do to bring about a change? Then I approached UK Company House and created this non-profit organization. I’m proud of this, and I’m aware I have a long way to go in terms of learning how to promote, run, and raise funds for my charity,” Isabelle said.
Isabelle has proven herself a multi-talented woman. “I speak both English and French fluently, and I’m proud of this. I have written a great number of articles on Facebook and Instagram; I taught myself how to create and publish a long list of low-content books on Amazon; I learned how to drive when I was 21 years old and have been driving since; I can cook and manage the home; I am a Sunday school teacher; I am currently writing my first book; I have opened a limited company, (Perpetual Primary Ltd) of which I am the CEO; I have also opened a non-profit company, Kloto Kids;
I am completing a coaching course to become a certified coach; and I’m learning about E-commerce,” she said.
The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Young women need female role models to inspire success. Isabelle’s motivational quotes are a source of inspiration for young women around the world. “My message to all the young people of the world is that no matter the circumstance you were born into, no matter what you’ve endured, you can make an impact in this world. Be totally focused on your goals and pursue them wholeheartedly, because your time is now! Take every opportunity life presents and show up, and above all, be intentional with your actions so that you can live out your dreams. Do not let fear stop you. Know that fear starts as a thought, and whatever thought we empower will gradually become our reality. You have the potential to achieve great things, but YOU MUST DARE TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND TAKE ACTION,” she always says.
A service to humanity is a service to God. Isabelle’s passion to help children and women is highly commendable. She has devoted her life to serving humanity. Due to her outstanding achievements, Isabelle Delali Pennaneach has become one of the world’s most inspiring social workers.
